Looking at How the Business of Politics Gets Done
On September 24th, former President Clinton met President Obama at the Andrews Air Force Base for what looks like a simple round of 18 holes at the golf course. But between the checks for wind direction and lining up the perfect putt, economics and politics were also playing the course along with them.
President Obama invited Clinton for a round of golf to discuss his upcoming economic plan to cut taxes and spending while extending benefits for people who have been collecting unemployment benefits for a long time and while providing financial aid to industries to help prevent layoffs.
Alongside his personal counselor and aide Doug Band and William Daley, former President Clinton listened and gave advice to President Obama regarding his economic proposal in between hits.
